The Disneyland theme park is composed of the infamous trilogy mountain rides. Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain and Space Mountain have been apart of the park for several decades. The rides are fan favorites & bring in hundreds of thousands of people out to the park to see what they have to offer. Unfortunately, Space Mountain will be closed for about 5 weeks. From September 18th until October 25th the ride will be closed for refurbishment.
Disney has always closed Space Mountain as Halloween starts to approach. Typically, Ghost Galaxy which portrays Halloween holiday decor and themed fireworks replaces Space Mountain but this year it will be closed altogether. During its closure, Disneyland crews will update Space Mountain’s systems that will help prevent unexpected downtime during its refurbishment.
