This spring, one of the world’s largest cinema operators, Cinépolis, will launch a 12-screen luxury cinema with waiter service and an IMAX theater at the Hollywood Park development in Inglewood, California. It will be one of the few dine-in IMAX theaters in the world. The new 55,000-square-foot multiplex will offer a unique eating and IMAX experience. The cinema, which will have 1,236 leather recliners, will be placed in the retail zone close to the SoFi Stadium.
Cinépolis USA’s CEO, Luis Olloqui, stated that the property was chosen because to its central location in Inglewood, where there are currently no commercial centers or theaters. Olloqui believes that the city’s growth warrants a cinema of the magnitude and caliber that the Hollywood Park team will establish.

The new theater will have a Laser projection system, and ticket pricing will be “in the vicinity” of comparable Los Angeles theaters, according to Olloqui, who stated that the theater wants to provide “the best experience possible” at reasonable prices. According to him, the greatest difficulty in creating the project thus far has been determining waiter service for the IMAX theater, which will seat approximately 299 people. According to Olloqui, this was a “huge problem” in terms of service and kitchen size.

Cinépolis USA operates in eight states, including nine Southern California sites. The company takes great satisfaction in creating theaters with one of the widest distances between the screen and the front row in order to reduce neck strain, as well as producing nearly all of its food-service products in-house. “Everything that can be made from scratch is prepared in-house, including all dressings and sauces,” Olloqui explained.
He stated that the style of the new cinema will be similar to that of the Cinépolis theaters in Carlsbad, California, and Coconut Grove, Florida, with a modern and warm appearance incorporating a lot of browns, golds, and wood. The cinema complex will also feature an outside bar/restaurant accessible to non-theatergoers.

Olloqui stated, “We feel that in order to entice you to leave your couch and visit our theater, we must provide an experience and offering that combines the size of the screen, the quality of the sound, the comfort of the seats, and the caliber of the service.” “We’re attempting to make it vastly different from remaining at home.” According to SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park managing director Jason Gannon, this is the first movie theater to open in Inglewood in decades. The Hollywood Park development, which encompasses roughly 300 acres, has the recently constructed SoFi Stadium, the YouTube Theater, and an office complex that includes the West Coast offices of the NFL. The 890,000-

square-foot open-air retail complex will contain restaurants, an art gallery, brewery, coffee shop, and a fitness center.
Offering a unique eating and IMAX experience, the new Cinépolis theater is expected to be a key draw for moviegoers in Inglewood and the greater Los Angeles region. Cinépolis USA is set to become a key participant in the Southern California cinema market, adding a touch of luxury to viewers who desire more than a large screen and snacks.
