AZJAH 

The Compton-born rapper who is tearing up the music scene. Azjah is swiftly becoming one of the most sought-after performers of our day, thanks to her unique blend of real-life experiences and musical talent.

Blxst 

Blxst is a budding music talent noted for his distinctive blend of hip hop and R&B. Blxst, who was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, began rapping and producing shortly after graduating from high school. His music career began with TIU Muzic, a hip hop collective where he got experience in the music industry and a local audience.

Blxst rose to prominence after producing “Do Yo Gudda (Remix)” by Hitta J3 starring Kendrick Lamar, YG, and Problem in 2014. In 2015, he founded his label Evgle and began working as a creative director for his graphic design and music videos. Blxst’s first single, “Who Would’ve Thought,” was published in 2016, followed by a succession of independent singles in 2018, including a collaboration with Eric Bellinger. He launched his first solo hit track, “Hurt,” in 2019, to millions of streams.

Blxst’s breakthrough came in 2020, with the publication of his debut EP No Love Lost. The EP was launched as a collaboration between Evgle and Red Bull Records, and it included smash hits including “Chosen,” which featured Tyga and Ty Dolla $ign. The EP also reached number three on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, confirming Blxst’s status as a rising talent.

Blxst’s musical approach has been compared to West Coast rapping and singing hybrids like Ty Dolla Sign and Nate Dogg, as well as Ryan Leslie, Pharrell Williams, and Kanye West. He has a distinct sound that combines hip hop and R&B to create a sound that is both recognizable and new. Smooth vocals, appealing choruses, and thoughtful lyrics distinguish Blxst.

In April 2022, Blxst published his debut album Before You Go, which showcased his artistic development. Tyga, Dom Kennedy, and Bino Rideaux are among the artists who have collaborated on the album. The album provides an intimate insight at Blxst’s life and experiences, reflecting his journey from hardships to accomplishments.

Blxst’s music has earned him a devoted fan base, and he has been named to the XXL Freshman Class. He has also worked with other industry heavyweights, including Kendrick Lamar on the song “Die Hard” from the album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, which he co-wrote with Amanda Reifer. MOZZY

There are a few hip hop musicians who manage to stand out from the pack. Mozzy, who was born Timothy Cornell Patterson on June 24, 1987, in Sacramento, California, is without a doubt one of them. Growing up in Sacramento’s Oak Park area, he became known for his raw, realistic lyrics that represent the challenges and realities of his existence. Mozzy’s music has touched many people’s emotions, and he has amassed a tremendous fan base over the years.

Mozzy’s career in music began in 2004 when he began rapping under the alias Lil Tim. It wasn’t until the release of his 2015 album Bladadah that Mozzy began to earn industry acclaim. According to Complex Magazine, Bladadah was recognized as the 22nd best rap album of 2015 by Rolling Stone and gave him the “best run” of 2015.

Despite the accolades, Mozzy stayed focused on his craft and continued to make music that was well received by his fans. He has a string of hit mixtapes under his belt, including Money Means Mozzy, Mandatory Check, and Internal Affairs, to mention a few.

Mozzy released his debut studio album, 1 Up Top Ahk, in August 2017, followed by Gangland Landlord in 2018. Both albums displayed Mozzy’s poetic prowess as well as his ability to relate his experiences with his listeners in a real and sincere manner.

Mozzy’s music frequently explores topics of gang violence, poverty, and street life, yet his songs also provide hope and resilience. Beyond Bulletproof, his 2020 album, is a testament to this, as it features collaborations with famous musicians such as G Herbo, Eric Bellinger, and Polo G.

Untreated Trauma, Mozzy’s most recent album, opened at number 19 on the Billboard 200, overtaking Beyond Bulletproof as his highest-charting album. Collaborations on the album include EST Gee, YFN Lucci, and Wale, among others. Mozzy also collaborated alongside Eminem and Polo G on Skylar Grey’s song “Last One Standing,” which was featured on the soundtrack for the film Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Mozzy’s music has been lauded for its sincerity and ability to transport listeners into his world. He is well-known for his vivid narrative and ability to elicit emotion through his lyrics.
