FIG and Olive

A concept that begins, first and foremost, with a passion and respect for ingredients is at the center of FIG & OLIVE’s food, which reflects the restaurant’s name. Every dish they serve is prepared without sacrificing quality, whether it be the paper-thin carpaccios, the sweet blood orange-infused olive oil, the soft burrata, or the aged balsamic vinegar.

Their method of preparing food is influenced by the regional preference for using olive oil of the highest possible quality and eschewing heavy sauces and creams in favor of the simple, fresh flavors that are key to the Mediterranean Diet. And what’s more, you are sure to run into some celebrities while you are there!

Address: 23759 Roscoe Blvd, Canoga Park, CA 91304

Casa Vega

Casa Vega, found on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, is undoubtedly one of the most well-known Mexican restaurants in the Los Angeles area. It is also possible your best opportunity to see your landlord and a Kardashian eating at the same table in the same restaurant. This establishment, which is celebrating its 60th year in business, is one of those enchanted Los Angeles locales where A-list celebrities and every day people meet without much fuss.

Both the margaritas and the lobster quesadilla are essential purchases at this restaurant. However, they do not accept reservations, so you will need to arrive early or be prepared to wait.

Address: 13301 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423

Beauty and Essex

An original design can be seen throughout Beauty & Essex, beginning with the restaurant’s entrance, which is styled after a well-curated modern-day pawn shop complete with a saxophone, boombox, peculiar relics, vintage treasures, and an eclectic selection of “one-off” pieces of jewelry.

After passing the pawnshop, guests will come upon a large circular staircase wrapped around a two-story custom chandelier; nevertheless, only the guests willing to take risks will find out everything that Beauty & Essex has to offer. A women’s restroom that is replete with a salon with a sumptuous sofa and antique perfume bottles, as well as four unique dining rooms, one of which is private, two bars, a lounge, and a women’s restroom. In the same way that the design is meant to chart a new path, so too does the cuisine.

Chef Chris Santos being one of the pioneers of the small, share-plate eating movement that has swept the nation, and with the Beauty & Essex menu, he has once again generated waves in the food world.

Craig’s

The famous crowd at Craig’s reminds me of the ones that used to frequent the original Studio 54 in New York City. It was the place to be seen, and one of the attractions was the show at the front entrance of celebrities and ordinary people dressed in their finest trying to get past the doorman. This was the place to be seen (who allowed people in based on their looks).

Even if you have a reservation for Craig’s that was made weeks in advance and a hefty bank account (a salad will set you back $15, and a steak will cost you $60), the owner of the restaurant, Craig Susser, is notorious for seating guests according to the level of celebrity they possess.

You shouldn’t let it stop you if seeing some A-List celebs is what you really want to do. Make sure you have a reservation, bring extra money, and protect your eyes from the flashes of the paparazzi when you enter the establishment. When you go inside, you need to have a clear view of the people who are already there.

Address: 8826 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069

Wally’s

Wally’s is beloved by serious wine enthusiasts due to the enormous wine store in the restaurant’s rear. The cheese counter at Wally’s is one of the reasons why so many serious foodies frequent the store.

People in Beverly Hills adore Wally’s because of the atmosphere. Have numerous glasses of wine on the front patio at Wally’s, which doubles as a restaurant and wine shop, and pair it with a carbonara pizzetta, essentially just a pizza. Wally’s is an excellent choice for after-work drinks.

The Nice Guy

The Nice Guy is a hidden gem of a restaurant and lounge that can be found tucked away in the center of West Hollywood. It is known for its world-class cuisine and cozy atmosphere. The venue is a location for H.wood friends and family that is more on par with a club than a restaurant, but it is not quite a club either.

Reservations are required to visit. Its design is reminiscent of the opulent atmosphere of mafia clubs and restaurants, gathering places for the mafioso’s friends and family to spend the evening.

Whether they are having an early dinner or mingling into the early morning hours, the space cultivates a feeling of camaraderie among its clients, which is what keeps people coming back night after night, whether they are eating an early dinner or mixing into the early morning hours.

The decor of The Nice Guy is an ode to the opulent heyday of Mafia bars and restaurants, which were popular gathering places for the owners and their associates. You are greeted with the antique marble and brass bar as soon as you enter the establishment. The attendees are invited to participate in a one-of-a-kind social experience, which promotes conversation and camaraderie by virtue of its size, scale, and shape.

Address: 401 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048

Catch LA, which is located on the corner of Melrose and San Vicente and overlooks the bustling streets of the West Hollywood design area, provides a smooth transition from daytime to nighttime, cuisine, nightlife, and events. There is something for everyone at Catch LA.

The 340-seat retractable rooftop haven invites the outside in with its signature open kitchen and breathtaking views of downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills. It marries simple yet elegant seafood, sushi, and steak with a one-of-a-kind open-air dining room, excellent service, and a lively atmosphere.

Mother Wolf

Chef Evan Funke pays tribute to the Eternal City and the rich culinary tradition of Roman cuisine with his restaurant, Mother Wolf. The menu at Mother Wolf echoes themes of shepherds, popes, farmers, and artisans through items like wafer-thin wood-fired pizzas, hyper-seasonal antipasti, and the classic handmade pasta for which Funke is famed.

Delilah

Delilah is a high-end restaurant and lounge in West Hollywood that, despite being difficult to secure a seat, has successfully maintained an outstanding impression of exclusivity since it first opened in 2016.

Agents, Wilhelmina contract models, and shady men behind the bar with too many buttons undone make up the audience on any given night. Leaving that aside, dinner is enjoyable here. The cuisine is good, the waitstaff is kind and attentive, and a jazz singer is singing in the background.

The menu includes what could be the tastiest chicken tenders in the entire world. Basically, it’s a Lawry’s with sex appeal that is poorly lighted. Things pick up around 10 o’clock, so if you don’t belong to the crowd that orders bottle service and participates in extracurricular activities in the restroom, it’s definitely time to get the check.

Address: 7969 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90046
