The Disneyland Resort Magic Key Passes will be available for purchase again on April 11, 2023, after a nearly year-long absence. The Annual Passes were discontinued in August 2021 and supplanted by the Magic Key program. Since the introduction of the Magic Key program, however, sales have fluctuated, with some or all categories selling out for the majority of the year.
The Disneyland Resort Magic Key Passes provide park guests with a variety of options, including the Inspire, Believe, Enchant, and Imagine levels. Shortly after sales began in August 2021, the topmost tier, the Dream Key, was exhausted, followed by the Believe Key. In December 2021, a class action lawsuit was filed against Disney, alleging false advertising regarding the Dream Key’s lack of blackout dates. A federal judge ruled in May 2022 that the litigation could proceed, and on May 31, sales of all Magic Keys were suspended.
Modifications were made to the Magic Key program before August renewals began. The Dream Key has been discontinued permanently, and the Imagine Key has been introduced. All four tiers now have blockout dates, and a clause requiring Key Holders to waive their right to initiate a class-action lawsuit has been added to the terms and conditions.

Disney fans have eagerly anticipated the return of Magic Key permits, which is anticipated to increase park attendance. Despite the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic initially led to a decline in park attendance, Disneyland has been operating at full capacity since June 2022. The resumption of Magic Key sales demonstrates confidence in the park’s capacity to safely manage increased throngs.
As anticipation builds for the return of Magic Key passes, Disney reminds park guests to adhere to all health and safety regulations, including mask use, social distance, and appropriate hand hygiene. Disney continues to prioritize the health and safety of its employees and visitors, despite the anticipated increase in park attendance.
