#ARTISTTOWATCH: Javi

Making it look easy, It seems as though Javi has been destined for the spotlight. From his youtube success to dropping hits he has shown that he was built for this lifestyle. Javi has been bubbling up for quite sometime now making him a SBRBN Artist to watch !

Check out the conversation we had with him down below!

Where are you from?

I’m from Riverside, CA

Who inspires you?

Who inspires me the most are people I watched come up and watched the process of them grow. Kalan.frfr, AmbJaay, Likybo, SOBxRBE,etc. Then there’s people outside of music like Gary Vee, Wendy Day who really make videos saying “everything is possible, and here’s how”

How’d you get your name?

My last name is Hernandez, my family is from Belize so everyone speaks Spanish. Javi  was just a nickname I got because my first name is Javin.

What made you start rapping?

Since I was little, my favorite artist was Lil Bow Wow. I watched his movies, had his posters, albums, the whole 9 yards. Watching his life from a young age, made me wanna be able to do the same things he did as far materialistic. I was always in the church, as I got older the melodies from these gospel songs would transfer to secular music and I got a liking for music with melodies. The more I listen to different types of R&B and Rap, the more I found myself writing and recording my own music.

What are your favorite artists to listen to?

My favorite artists to listen to are Drake, Kalan.frfr, Lil Pete, Chink, and G Herbo.

What or who is your biggest inspiration?

My biggest inspiration is just the fact that I’m around other who are successful, but I’m not quite where they are yet. So I’m determined to keep working until I pass where they’re at now.

What is something you never got to do as a child?

I don’t think I ever got to go on vacations like most families. I wasn’t until we got older that we started traveling. It’s better now though, I can enjoy it more.

What’s your favorite bar you ever wrote?

My favorite bar would have to be on “Love” where I say:

“I ain’t used to being loved so I push away

I gave em’ the door but they coulda stayed

Now I really blame myself

Too many bitches is bad for my health”

Where do you see your career going?

I see my career going only up from here. I have so many goals I want to accomplish, my own tour, making more money, my team and family is straight, making an annual 4L festival. I’m praying for longevity at all times.
