LA’s Black barbie of streetwear, Aleali May, has secured her own partnership with the Mattel company right on the heels of the release of the Barbie movie. Sporting two different outfits, this Barbie is an LA girl’s dream come true. As one of two women ever to design sneakers for the Air Jordan brand of Nike’s retail, Aleali has trailblazer the world of fashion on a high level. A stylist, designer, and model, this South Central native has pulled influences from all over the world. Paris, Milan, and fashion week are only a few places May has graced over the past few years-making herself an icon.
After studying at Columbia college in Chicago, May studied the industry and eventually started working at Louis Vuitton along with RSVP gallery. Her personal style is an embodiment of plenty of Los Angeles girls that share the same love of high fashion and streetwear in one.
