One of the best things about this beautiful place that we call Los Angeles is the amount of diversity within the city. You can go surfing in the morning and be snowboarding by the evening time. Then after a long day you can still find yourself in the club. You might be thinking.. Scott after a long day of physical activity I just wanna sit down & enjoy some nice ramen — Well, you can do that to. Especially with this list. Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you. Daikokuya Ramen. This is one of the most notable on this list. Its a Whole in the wall ramen spot that packs a punch! If you’re looking for some real authentic food this is the spot for you. Great tasting broth & even better toppings. Daikokuya Ramen is textbook ramen spot that you can’t go wrong with. They’re known for their egg chatsu and they’ll be more than generous with your portions.
Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen
132 S Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012
Mon – Sun 11AM – 11PM
Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen. This spot is a personal favorite of mine for a couple of reasons. One They have amazing service– They’ve been known to handle larger groups and a fast pace. They have a world famous Hakata Ramen and their Udon is really good as well, Both are made fresh daily so you know you’ll be getting a top quality ramen. Much like Daikokuya Ramen, Shin-Sen is also known for giving out large portions of food.
Tatsu Ramen
7111 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046
Mon – Wed 11AM – 1AM, Thurs – Sun 11AM – 3AM
Tatsu Ramen. I’ll be honest the name alone just screams “popular”. Tatsu Ramen is likely to be the most notable on the list which is pretty amazing cause they’ve held up as far as food quality is concerned. Tatsu is one of the best ramen spots in Los Angeles. The biggest complaint amongst ramen goers typically has to do with the saltiness of the broth – Tatsu doesn’t have this problem, the food is flavored to perfection. They also have customized ordering so you leave or add whatever you’d like to your order.

Orcohon Ramen. Orcohon is another spot on the list that is a community favorite. They’re known for having really good spicy noodles and even more known for having some of the best textures amongst Ramen spots. The broth is really good as well, very flavorful. Depending on the time you decide to go you might have a bit of a wait. Luckily the surrounding area has plenty to do so you’ll have no problem killing time if need be.
Men Oh Tokushima Ramen
456 E 2nd St Los Angeles, CA 90012
Various Times
Men Oh Tokushima Ramen. This ramen spot really good for several reasons. They have very good thin noodles with a nice firm texture. Their toppings are decent & the broth brings it all together. If I had to recommend any dish it would be the black Garlic Ramen. Its a staple dish if you ask me. Another thing I love about Men Oh Tokushima Ramen is the ambiance! Great service & greater people. You can’t beat that.
Hakata Ramen Shin-Sen-Gumi
132 S Central Ave Los Angeles, CA 90012
Mon – Sun 11AM – 11PM
Hakata Ramen Shin-Sen-Gumi. Another one of those ramen spots known for having really good noodles. My favorite thing about Hakata Ramen Shin-Sen-Gumi is they really allow you to customize your food. For instance– You can adjust the firmness of your noodles. You can even adjust the richness of your broth. Not only that, you can add & subtract items as you please. Most ramen chefs say you can.. but will have a fit. Here? No problems at all.
Marugame Monzo
329 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Marugame Monzo. Last but not least we have Marugame Monzo. I’,m a Huge fan of this spot & what they have to offer. Their eggs are known to be super fluffy and the broth is flavorful as well. This spot is a no-brainer if your a true ramen goer. If you go I highly recommend you get the Ikura or their mushroom Udon. You can’t go wrong with either of these dishes. The food here is also very flavorful.
