Musician Damar Davis is a self-taught drummer and producer who made his way up through the gospel genre. He began his professional music career by playing for bands Vex Ruffin (Stones Throw), Lo Moon (Columbia) and Zipper Club (Epic). He has shared the stage with LCD Sound System, Tears for Fears and Phoenix. He currently lives MDs for C.S. Armstrong.
He began focusing on his own solo project last year and will have his first release on Timetable Records.
This newest visual is a representation of what Damar brings to the table as an artist. A clear message of the many ways the Black man is viewed and thought about appearing throughout this short.
Narrated by Neil Israel and Shot, Directed, Edited by Donovan Novotny this short is nothing of spectacular. From the creative direction down to an impactful meaning, there is no doubting that Damar is here to stay.
