We Back & In Popular Demand : A Conversation with RobTwo

The Los Angeles Music Scene is as hot as ever with the emergence of so much new talent. From hollywood down to Bellflower there are plenty of artists putting on for the city.

With all this talent coming out It’s Important that we highlight those coming up in the city right now.

LA native Robtwo stopped by to talk music and his come up in the new LA music climate. Check out the conversation down below:

1. For Those who don’t know, Where are you from?

I’m from Los Angeles, borderline Inglewood/westchester.I moved to Bellflower when I 13

2. As a Los Angeles native. How are you feeling about the music coming from here?

Yo, I’m excited about the music the west pushing out right now, we back & in popular demand. It’s a lot of ratchet & feel good music going around right now too & the city is loving it. As for me, I ain’t really the real ratchet type but I can vibe wit some of it lol.

3. Where do you think you fit in the new wave of LA music.

I feel like I’m going to be a perfect fit. The music off top speaks for itself & the quality as well. I’m going to add that authenticity & actually paint some pictures. I wanna bring that street motivation music to the scene, giving that “you can do it too/don’t be afraid to be different” message, you know? that pain music you can feel. real vibes, real-life stories, and methods to make it out. A lot of kids aren’t hearing real anymore, they just hearing go do something dumb for some change instead of build and prosper. I mean yeah the turnt up music fun sometimes, but we all need a voice that can push us where we need to be. I’m that(All glory to God).

4. Do you find it an obligation to make sure you are representing your city?

I’m excited about the music the west pushing out right now, we back & in popular demand. It’s a lot of ratchet & feel good music going around right now too & the city is loving it.

I feel obligated to put on for Bellflower because it’s a great city filled with a lot of gems lol I just so happen to be one of em. I’ve encountered so much in this city & have faced so many obstacles here. It’s only right I show the world what’s it’s like. & it’s dope cus who can say they put on for Bellflower *Laughs Aloud*. Nobody haha and let somebody try to play me 😁 *Laughs Aloud*. nah but it’s only right to represent where you come from and give back.

5. Does the city Affect your sound at all? If so how?

Being from Los Angeles you get the best of everything. I got a taste of Compton, Watts, LA, Inglewood, Long Beach, etc & each city gives you a different vibe. Damn near got a memory in every one of those cities too lol. You can def listen to my music & be like, “yea he’s from la”. I even got to stay in Texas for a bit and that helped my sound out too. I guess all this just gives my music some extra flavor lol.

6. Who are you listening to right now?

NBA youngboy / Kevin Gates / Trouble / Kodak Black / partynextdoor / Greedo / Robtwo lol

7. What can we expect from you in the next couple of months ?

You can expect more projects & ep’s fasho. More videos, content, & more merchandise for the fans/supporters. You guys will def be hearing my name more and seeing it too, it’s really my season.

8. Give Us a couple of Your influences?

Being from Los Angeles you get the best of everything. I got a taste of Compton, Watts, LA, Inglewood, Long Beach, etc & each city gives you a different vibe.

Hot boyz / Kanye West / 50 cent / nipsey hussle / t-pain / top dawg

9. Lastly, Nip passed not to long ago, can you give us your take on him? What effect did he have on you?

Nip was a real dude man, case closed. The ideal role model, a great father & just a loving black man that showed his city love. Anybody that can make it out the streets/beat the odds is a hero in my books. the pressure of all that & being a black male In America is hard as hell but he overachieved at that & still found time to feed his family/community. Rest in power big bro!!! He inspired me to start my own business, be my own boss & to eliminate the middleman. Courage is everything & failing is apart of success, never be scared to fall.
