The LA Reporter | Sep 29th

Good morning. The message of the week is DICIPLINE. We all claim we want to be the boss. We claim we want to be at the top of the game, in whatever field that is but I can bet you lack the discipline to actually get that done. Honestly though — Who can blame you? In today's time of constant distractions I understand. Sometimes I find myself suffering from the same thing — & so that’s the message this week — DICIPLINE.

Today I want to encourage you to focus on your discipline. Take some time to think through ways you can be more disciplined towards your goals.

WELCOME TO LOS ANGELES

One of the best things about this beautiful place that we call Los Angeles is the amount of diversity within the city. You can go surfing in the morning and be snowboarding by the evening time. Then after a long day you can still find yourself in the club. You might be thinking.. Scott after a long day of physical activity I just wanna sit down & enjoy some nice ramen — Well, you can do that to. Especially with this list. Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you. The Best Places in Little Tokyo to get Ramen.

327 E 1st St Los Angeles, CA 90012

Mon – Thurs 11AM – 10PM, Fri – Sun 11AM – 12AM

Daikokuya Ramen. This is one of the most notable on this list. Its a Whole in the wall ramen spot that packs a punch! If you’re looking for some real authentic food this is the spot for you. Great tasting broth & even better toppings. Daikokuya Ramen is textbook ramen spot that you can’t go wrong with. They’re known for their egg chatsu and they’ll be more than generous with your portions.

132 S Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Mon – Sun 11AM – 11PM

Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen. This spot is a personal favorite of mine for a couple of reasons. One They have amazing service– They’ve been known to handle larger groups and a fast pace. They have world famous Hakata Ramen and their Udon is really good as well, Both are made fresh daily so you know you’ll be getting a top quality ramen. Much like Daikokuya Ramen, Shin-Sen is also known for giving out large portions of food.

7111 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046

Mon – Wed 11AM – 1AM, Thurs – Sun 11AM – 3AM

Tatsu Ramen. I’ll be honest the name alone just screams “popular”. Tatsu Ramen is likely to be the most notable on the list which is pretty amazing cause they’ve held up as far as food quality is concerned. Tatsu is one of the best ramen spots in Los Angeles. The biggest complaint amongst ramen goers typically has to do with the saltiness of the broth – Tatsu doesn’t have this problem, the food is flavored to perfection. They also have customized ordering so you leave or add whatever you’d like to your order.

Developers Take first step in $1Billion Reconstruction of the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall. It breaks my heart every time I walk through the deserted mall that holds many of my childhood memories. From holiday pictures with black santa, shenanigans in Walmart, running around Sears with my cousins and being dragged around Macy’s for hours to catch semi-annual sales. I genuinely feel like the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall or what we call The Crenshaw Mall deserved more effort. After the long winded two year contingent sale, Capri Capital Partners finally settled on a $140 Million purchase from Harridge Development Group. The Harridge Development Group has taken steps to fulfill their $1Billion redevelopment project and recently submitted requests to LA City Planning to begin construction at 4005 Crenshaw Blvd in Los Angeles, CA 90008. This redevelopment would stretch right after what was Macy’s on the corner of Crenshaw and MLK Blvd. to Crenshaw and 39th.

Waymo is Offering FREE Self-driving car rides around Los Angeles. They’ve recently introduced something called the Waymo One Tour, which will allow LA residents to ride in their driverless cars for free. The tour officially starts October 11th of this year & will stretch through 2024. Since this will be apart of their “Early Access” program users will need to use the Waymo app & gain access to the “ticket to ride” obtainable by an in-person Waymo pop-up or by signing up on the waitlist.
